Patagonia is a breath-taking region of unmatched beauty located in the southern tip of South America, encompassing parts of both Argentina and Chile. With dramatic landscapes ranging from snow-capped peaks to the vast Patagonian steppe, and giant blue crackling glaciers. In this list we some some our favourite places in Patagonia.
1. Perito Moreno Glacier
Located in Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina the Perito Moreno Glacier is a breath-taking wonder that must be seen to be believed. You will come face to face with its blue icy walls that rise 70m out of water and feel the cold icy breath on your face. If you are lucky you can also see calving events where large chunks of ice break off and go crashing into the turquoise waters.

2. Salto del Claro
Located near Pucón in the northern Patagonia region of Chile lies this spectacular 90m waterfall Salto del Claro. You may have never heard of this waterfall but it’s a true hidden gem and only 7km from the town of Pucón

3. Laguna de Los Tres
Laguna de Los Tres shimmering in front of the granite peaks of Mount Fitz Roy is the most iconic image of Patagonia and a place on many people’s bucket list. Located near the small town of El Chalten in Argentina this stunning lake is accessed by a 10km trail where Mount Fitz Roy will guide you through some stunning wilderness to reach this breath taking place.

4. Torres del Paine National Park
Torres del Paine National Park is located in Chile near the town of Puerto Natales. Famous for the legendary W and O treks and of course the spectacular natural beauty you will find in the park. Some of the highlights include: Glacier Grey, Valle de Frances and Mirador base Torres the peaks where the park gets it’s name.

5. Beagle Channel Cruise
The beagle channel is located at the very tip of South America and the best way to see the rugged coastline is by going on a beagle channel cruise. As you cruise down the beagle channel you will be surrounded by rugged coastline, snow capped mountains all while straddling the boarders of Chile and Argentina. There will also be opportunities to spot wildlife including Sea Lions and Penguins.
