Brazil is home to some of the most beautiful beaches, epic natural beauty and vibrant city’s full of energy, music and culture. In this list we have our top 5 favourite places in Brazil that you should definitely consider adding to your itinerary when planning a trip to Brazil.
1. Porto Seguro
Porto Seguro is a historic seaside town in Bahia that was the first landing place of Portuguese settlers in 1535. It’s home to amazing beaches making it a great place to come and unwind on a beach or walk around the old town and see what life was like back in the day.
2. Chapada Diamantina National Park
Chapada Diamantina National park is a spectacular natural area located 311km west of Salvador in Bahia. The national park is home to a wide variety of natural wonders including waterfalls, mountain ranges, spectacular caves and indigenous paintings dating back 10,00 years. This was our favourite place in Brazil and a place you need to add to your Brazil Itinerary.
3. Rio de Janeiro
Nestled between the mountains and the ocean Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities in the world. With world class beaches like Copacabana beach and top attractions like Christ the redeemer you can see why this place is a must visit for anyone coming to Brazil
4. Bonito
Tucked away in the south west of Brazil in the state of Mato Gorsso do Sul, Bonito is well known by locals but not as much by foreigners. Don’t let this place pass you by it’s a nature lovers paradise with crystal clear rivers where you can snorkel and feel like you’ve stepped into an aquarium. There are also loads of other activities to do in the area like visiting waterfalls, caving, tubing and the list goes on. Just put it on your list!
5. Iguaçu Falls
Iguaçu falls is one of the most famous and spectacular waterfalls in the world and it’s not hard to see why it’s on this list. The falls do live up to the hype in fact we think it exceeds it as you can never really understand the size, power and scale of the falls until you in the devils throat getting pounded by mist and deafened by the thunderous roar of the falls.
